England have crushed Malta

England crushed Malta in Wednesday's Group C qualifier for next year's European Championships in Germany. The star of the match was Liverpool's Trent Alexander Arnold who played a part in the first two goals.

Wearing the number 10 on his back and playing in midfield, a position that German coach Jürgen Klopp adapted for him at the end of the Reds' season, Alexander Arnold became England's best player and showed all his quality in the second goal with a powerful shot that left the Maltese goalkeeper with no chance.

This great performance places Alexander Arnold as one of the best players in Europe at the moment which will mean Liverpool will have a star in their line-up for next season as they look to regain the limelight and be contenders to win the Premier League and qualify for the Champions League again.

The new value

By way of comparison, Jude Bellingham cost Real Madrid 103 million in a historic signing but has not yet shown the qualities of Alexander Arnold who, according to Jamie Carragher in an interview a few days ago, could be worth up to 200 million if he continues to perform as well as he has done so far.
