Liverpool have entered the race to sign Moises Caicedo and could be in for some good help

It's totally confirmed, our Liverpool want to steal the signing of Moises Caicedo who has been heavily linked with a possible move to Chelsea this summer. However, it has been reported that the Anfield board have already contacted Brighton to make a verbal offer for the Ecuadorian defensive midfielder.

For several months now, Jürgen Klopp has had one of South American football's top gems on his radar, but it has been said that Liverpool would not try to sign him due to the high £100 million asking price, but it seems that something has changed within the club as it now appears that Liverpool do want to sign him this summer.

Many have commented on how it would be possible that our Liverpool are looking to sign a player valued at £100 million when we have been stuck for weeks not wanting to pay £50 million for what was supposed to be Klopp's biggest target, Romeo Lavia. In that regard, journalist Paul Joyce has claimed that Liverpool's refusal to pay £50m for Lavia is not to do with a lack of funds issue, but rather an unwillingness to shell out that kind of money for a player barely a year older than Stefan Bajcetic.

According to various reports, we could see a battle between Liverpool and Chelsea to sign Moises Caicedo in the remainder of the transfer window, with Brighton reportedly willing to sell the player to the highest bidder, according to Fabrizio Romano. However, it has also been noted that the player's desire would also be a key factor and in that sense, Liverpool could be helped by up to three players who could try to convince Caicedo to choose Liverpool over Chelsea.

The three players that could convince Caicedo

There are three players who could play a key role in Moises Caicedo's decision should the case arise that he must choose between our Liverpool and Chelsea. On the one hand would be two of his current teammates, Adam Lallana and James Milner, both with a past at Anfield who could speak to him about everything he could gain if he joins Jürgen Klopp's project. On the other side his teammate and friend from last season Alexis Mac Allister who just joined the club this summer and could talk to him about how good it is to belong to the biggest and most important team in England.
