Klopp dismisses Milner's scolding of Vand Djik in Liverpool defeat at Old Trafford

Liverpool suffered their first Premier League defeat since December, with goals from Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford putting Manchester United 2-0 up. Mohamed Salah headed in to give the visitors hope but they were unable to equalise down the stretch.

After the defeat, German manager Jurgen Klopp spoke about his emotions from the game: "Emotions? We lost. I think that says it all about the emotions I was expecting. That's about it. Very disappointed with the result," he commented.

Asked by reporters if he was concerned about Liverpool's "attitude", the Reds boss said it's not a question that should be asked because both games, against Fulham and ManU, the difference couldn't have been bigger. Perhaps the surprise was in Erik Ten Hag's changes, which were more attacking and purposeful.

Nothing to fix

The German manager told a press conference after the defeat against Manchester United that he realised after the game that James Milner had told off Virgil Van Djik, so he said there were no problems to solve internally, because arguments on the pitch, shouting and that sort of thing are normal.

"We don't have any problems; I don't have any problems in the team like this. That nobody is happy after losing a game is completely normal, but this is not an explanation, this is not an excuse or whatever. Everything is fine there, in this department," Klopp said.
