The news and rumors about the transfer market around our Liverpool continue, because now it has been reported that Crystal Palace has shown interest in Curtis Jones, one of the biggest promises that our club currently has and who comes from having a fantastic summer with the England U-21 team, with which he was crowned champion of the Euro, being also one of the best players of the team and who scored the only goal of the final.
It is no secret that today Liverpool needs midfielders, because since the end of the season it was announced that three players who were important in recent years were leaving the club as free agents: James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita. However, later in the transfer market, we lost two players who were still very relevant to the team and whom Jürgen Klopp had budgeted as fundamental parts of the squad for the new season: Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.
That is why, at first glance, the departure of such a promising midfielder as Curtis Jones looks practically impossible for Liverpool, as Jones is shaping up to have his season with more minutes at the club, although it does not look like he will be a starter, especially if the Reds finally manage to finalize one or two more arrivals before the summer transfer window closes.
In that sense, it could be that Curtis Jones and his hypothetical sale would even help Liverpool to secure another signing that they would consider more important and we are talking about Moises Caicedo who in the last few hours has reportedly aroused Klopp's interest to the point that Liverpool would make an offer even higher than the £80 million that Chelsea put on the table from Brighton and the sale of a player like Curtis could increase Liverpool's resources to make an offer that convinces the Seagulls.
According to the media CaughtOffside, who reported Crystal Palace's interest in Curtis Jones, claims that they still do not know if they want a loan or a definitive sale for Jones. However, if they do intend to buy him, sources suggest that Liverpool could ask up to 35 million euros for the 22-year-old midfielder.
