Liverpool fans complained on social media about the organisation of this friendly after losing 3-0 in the first 20 minutes.

Liverpool fans claimed to have accepted a friendly against Racing Strasbourg, a day after winning the Community Shield at Leicester's King Power Stadium by beating Manchester City 3-1, only to lose in 20 minutes by three goals.

With substitutes and youngsters, a very different line-up to the one used against City, the Reds lost to one of the worst clubs in France. Fans felt it was unnecessary to have organised this match, while others claimed what a mockery of the world it will be, even though the game was played with only youngsters and substitutes. The most criticised were 18-year-old Luke Chambers and 19-year-old Tyler Morton.
