The reliability of Pep Guardiola's Manchester City is more up for debate than ever after Crystal Palace equalised in the 95th minute. City's return to dynamic Premier League action was meant to confirm that the last two wins were no fluke and had put an end to the team's nerves before the Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia, but it was not to be.

Once again without Haaland on the pitch, City, who had already beaten Luton Town with difficulty last time out, decided to throw away a comfortable two-goal lead to drop two points that, little by little, are accumulating. Now, if Liverpool beat Manchester City on Sunday, their lead over Pep Guardiola and Co will be six points, which is not insurmountable.

While at Manchester United the problem has got much worse this season with United losing seven games in all competitions at home. Exactly as many as they have lost. This loss of magic is a true reflection of the decline of the Manchester side. The likes of Mourinho, Van Gaal, David Moyes, Solskjaer, Giggs, Carrick, Ragnick and now Ten Hag have all been on the bench. None of them have been able to make Ferguson's numbers forget, let alone match them.

Duel this Sunday

While the two Manchester teams are going through a very bad moment and Liverpool is living a great moment leading the Premier League and also after qualifying as first place in the group stage of the Europa League and this match that will be played this Sunday at Anfield could be decisive for the Reds to become the top favorite to win the title.
