At last some good news as Liverpool beat Wolverhampton 1-0 in the second leg of the FA Cup to qualify for the next round. A goal from Harvey Elliott was enough for the reds to beat the wolves and thus settle in the next phase where they could face Brighton in a match that still has no definite date.

Coach Jürgen Klopp made some changes to his line-up and they paid off. He benched the likes of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho while saving Mohamed Salah for the second half. The likes of Harvey Elliott, Stefan Bajcetic and Dutch striker Cody Gakpo, who made his third start for the team, were in the starting line-up.

Gakpo had a great World Cup in Qatar and that is why jürgen klopp did not hesitate to sign him due to the numerous absences in attack due to injury. Situations like firmino and Luis Diaz led Klopp to choose Gakpo as his big reinforcement. However, in three games the Dutchman has failed to score a goal and is beginning to generate despair among Reds fans.

Nunez watched the game at home

While Gakpo reached three games without scoring with Liverpool, Darwin Nunez posted a storie on instagram where he photographed his television where he was watching the Liverpool game. It is worth remembering that the Uruguayan did not play in the defeat against Brighton and was also absent from the match against Wolverhampton due to injury. Nunez has been heavily criticised for his many failings, although he has scored ten goals for the club since last summer.
