Describing him as one of the "great talents of world football", Real Madrid on Wednesday confirmed the signing of England midfielder Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund. At just 19, Bellingham had already established himself as one of the most sought-after players in Europe. Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain were all reportedly after his services.

Bellingham opted to sign for six seasons with Madrid, the club that has won the European Cup 14 times. Madrid did not confirm the transfer fee, but Dortmund indicated in a statement to the stock exchange last week that the transfer could exceed $139 million. Bellingham becomes the German club's second biggest, following the transfer of French attacker Ousmane Dembele to Barcelona in 2017 for $173 million.

While Bellingham preferred Real Madrid's millions our new player Argentine Alexis Mac Allister gave him a real lesson during his remarks from China where he will play a friendly match with his national team: "It's a joy to arrive at the biggest club in that country. Klopp was important. I saw his desire to have me and that was very important. We talked with him about football, how I see it and his desire to keep winning. I want to make the most of the opportunity.

The comparison

"I feel Liverpool are the Boca of England. I was talking about it with (Rodrigo) De Paul. It's crazy the people cheering. I think that in England, it's the most similar to the Boca fans and well, that's also something that counts. Having those fans, who always support us and the way they do, is also very important," said the midfielder.
