Where and when will Liverpool players play during the international break?

Our Liverpool has reached the first break of the season with a good performance in the first four Premier League games, and that is why several of our players have been called up by their respective national teams to play during the international break.

Virgil van Dijk and Cody Gakpo will play for the Netherlands in the Euro 2024 qualifiers against Greece and Republic of Ireland. The match against Greece could feature a clash between van Dijk and Gakpo against Liverpool teammate Kostas Tsimikas in a match to be played on Dutch soil on September 7. Three days later, on September 10, a similar scenario could play out when the Netherlands take on the Republic of Ireland in Dublin, where they could face Caoimhin Kelleher.

In addition to possibly facing van Dijk and Gakpo, our Liverpool goalkeeper will also face France at the Parc des Princes on September 7. It should be recalled that Ibrahima Konaté was unable to travel with France due to injury. In addition to facing the Netherlands, Kostas Tsimikas' Greece team will play Gibraltar on September 10 on Greek soil.

On the other hand, Diogo Jota and the Portugal national team will have two matches, one against Slovakia as visitors on September 8 and later on September 11 they will host Luxembourg, also as part of the Euro 2024 qualifiers. In addition, Andy Robertson will travel to Cyprus with Scotland to face them on September 8 and will play a friendly against England on September 12 at Hampden Park. Szoboszlai and Hungary will also be active on September 7 and 10 when they face Serbia away and Czech Republic at home respectively.

What about the South Americans playing for Liverpool?

As for the South American players playing for Liverpool, Alisson and Brazil will play on September 8 and 12 against Bolivia and Peru, the former at home and the latter on Peruvian soil. Alexis Mac Allister and Argentina will host Ecuador on September 7 and will travel to Bolivia on September 12. Darwin Nunez and Uruguay will play in Montevideo against Chile on September 8 and will travel to Ecuador on September 12. Finally, Luis Diaz and Colombia will play against Venezuela on September 7 at home and visit Chile on September 12.
