When the name Luis Suarez is mentioned around Liverpool, fans and officials alike have a reference to the Uruguayan striker as a spectacular goalscorer who has a sensational strike from the edge of the box or from the dead ball, making it difficult even for the Reds to determine what was the best goal the marksman could have scored for the club during his stint between 2010 and 2014. The magic that Suarez has in his boots has once again amazed the world and the whole of Brazil in his match with Gremio against Internacional, the striker took a long free kick that was embedded in the far post of the goalkeeper who could only watch the ball pass that brought the Tricolor Gaúcho 2-3 closer.

Suarez's meticulous and perfect shot evidently reminded the Reds of those times when the Uruguayan won many Premier League games with amazing goals, and the Merseyside side nowadays have something similar with the great mid-range strike of Hungarian Dominik Szoboszlai, Szobzlai has reinforced the group for this season with technical contributions very similar to those of Steven Gerrard but with precise shots like those of Suarez, being an example of them that goal in the EFL Cup that put the partial 2-1 against Leicester.

It is evident that Suarez's short but great legacy within the Reds is difficult to emulate or even match by several strikers who have passed on to the team since his departure in 2014, with Darwin Nunez having since last year a burden on him to be considered by many as the next successor to the gunslinger, following in his footsteps so far with his time with the Reds and the Uruguay national team, this year being one of the most decisive that can turn Nunez into the team's new big star.

Suarez is the legend the Reds miss

Although Liverpool remain one of the highest scoring institutions in the Premier League this season, Jürgen Klopp's attacking sector is currently competitive but not the best in the competition, with the Reds needing a man of Suarez's characteristics who can adapt to any game plan and situation that arises during a match, even at 36 years of age, which is why Gremio still consider him as a great element that can lead his teammates.
