England are already 2-0 up on Scotland in a friendly game with a lot of history on Tuesday with goals from Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham who capitalised on a mistake by Liverpool's Andy Robertson in defence to leave Glasgow's Hampden Park in silence.
After the draw against Ukraine in last week's European Championship qualifier, Gareth Southgate's national team visited their arch rivals Scotland in a special match as it was the 150th anniversary of what is considered the first official match in the history of football that pitted the two nations against each other.
Although the first half of the match was evenly matched and neither side had an advantage, England showed all their quality and by the end of the first half they had taken the lead. First with Phil Foden's goal taking advantage of the Scots' defensive frailties and then Jude Bellingham who took advantage of a mistake by Andy Robertson inside the box.
Andy Robertson was part of the image of the advertising campaign for this match as he captained Scotland and shared the advertising with Harry Kay as England captain. Robertson is the leading figure in the Scotland team, although on this occasion he had a flaw that hurt his national team.
