Moises Caicedo declined to join Liverpool and his first few games for Chelsea have not been his best

This summer our Liverpool tried to make a long-awaited signing for many Liverpool fans, as a couple of weeks ago they tried to sign Moises Caicedo for a record transfer fee of £110 million. However, although an agreement had been reached with Brighton's management, the Ecuadorian midfielder decided not to join the Reds and wait for Chelsea's offer who finally paid £115 million for him.

This transfer price became a Premier League record, making the 21-year-old Ecuadorian midfielder the most expensive signing in the history of English football and he has already had his first minutes with his new team after rejecting the possibility of playing for England's biggest club.

In his first game with Chelsea, Moises Caicedo lived a real nightmare, as he did not start against West Ham, entered in the second half and in addition to losing possession of the ball on several occasions, he ended up becoming the villain of his team as he committed the penalty with which West Ham sealed the victory over the Blues and lived his first defeat as a Chelsea player.

Now, Moises Caicedo is already playing his second game of the season and his first as a starter with his new team, where he seems not to feel completely comfortable yet, as it seems that the responsibility that has fallen on him for being the most expensive signing in the history of the Premier League and now Liverpool fans seem to be a little relieved that the Ecuadorian has not performed at all in his first minutes as a London player.
