The Reds' gem shone in his national team's match.

It is true that Spain were not comfortable. Moreover, they were in dangerous situations in the face of the mobility and dynamism of Scotland's attacking players. Liverpool striker Ben Doak was a constant threat. In front of him, Arnau Martínez had to work hard, although in the ninth minute he was outplayed and forced goalkeeper Pablo Cuñat to make a good save. In the 30th minute he took advantage of a Spanish defensive lapse and tried to surprise with a long-range shot.

Spain were not at their best and only the work of Pablo Barrios shone. The Atlético de Madrid player did his best to stop Scotland's quick transitions and had the only chance of the game with a shot that went high. For his part, Ilias Akhomach tried to surprise on the right flank, but he did little to feed debutant Samu Omorodion. Along with Hugo Bueno, Omorodion was one of the new additions to Spain's line-up this time around.

In the second half, Spain looked like a different team. Santi Denia decided to go for Pablo Torre and Novea and it worked. La Rojita' gained in possession and verticality. That said, the first chance fell to Scotland with a shot from Barron from the heart of the box.

Scotland lost

Both players could have scored, but the post and the crossbar prevented them from opening the scoring. The Scots, for their part, were reduced to nine players at the back, but the post and the crossbar prevented them from opening the scoring.
