In an atypical season with a World Cup in between, there will be disappointments at Anfield

As expected, the Premier League calendar is affected by the Qatar 2022 World Cup and some modifications were made. The league will start on August 6 and will be played normally until November 13 to give space for the World Cup. While Klopp's side have had two good seasons, they have not been champions since 2019 and that is starting to annoy fans.

The reality is that a section of the fan base is grateful for the Klopp era and the team's revival at home and abroad. However, another large part of the fans are not satisfied with just competing, and demand to start winning more championships.

Feeling of drought

One thing must be made very clear: Liverpool has the team to compete in all the tournaments it plays, and investments have been made to win those tournaments. Mohamed Salah's renewal sparked some criticism due to the striker's goalscoring absence in last season's Champions League final against Real Madrid, and he is required to prove on the pitch what he is paid every month.

In addition, the departure of the great Sadio Mané was balanced by the arrival of Fabio Carvalho and rumors of the possible addition of Adrien Rabiot, a French World Cup-winning midfielder who excelled at Juventus, making Liverpool's squad even larger.
