When everyone thought that the round of 16 would serve to leave out the surprise teams of this edition, the only one that did not perish on the way was Morocco who were able to impose themselves until the penalty shootout against their similar Spain, consummating another amazing result that already caused the reaction of multiple users on social networks, including Spanish players who were not considered by Luis Enrique in the final list.

The most expected reactions came from those top players who were inexplicably left out of the squad, including Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcántara, who only decided to share on Instagram a photo of his training session in the Middle East in preparation for his return to action in a couple of weeks.

Although his publication does not make any reference to the Spanish national team, the player with that post made it clear that his focus is not on the Spanish environment and their elimination against Morocco, being a professional in every sense of the word by concentrating only on the orders that Jurgen Klopp gives him to be able to continue in the starting line-up during this complicated season that the Merseyside team has had.

Despite not reacting specifically to his country's elimination in Qatar, hundreds of fans were furious mainly at the manager and those who missed his spot-kick, with the vast majority concluding that the Liverpool player would have been a sure-fire goal as part of his skills lie in penalty kicks.

Luis Enrique left out Thiago

While many say they missed the midfielder at the World Cup, a few others see his non-participation in Qatar as a good thing, as it could have saved an embarrassment for an entire squad that had the skills and qualities to advance to the quarter-finals without any problems.  Now the Liverpool player must try not to fail with his club and not be eliminated both in the Carabao Cup and the UEFA Champions League, having in both competitions rivals of great hierarchy that will complicate a lot the Reds pass to the next round.
