The Red's will play Real Madrid in the last 16 22/23 in February 2023

Liverpool are the biggest winners of Champions League titles on the 'Big Island', boasting six trophies in the Anfield trophy cabinet. Since 1976/1977, 1977/1978, 1980/1981, 1983/1984, 2004/2005 and most recently 2018/2019, the Red's have been the champions of English football, and in the last edition were even finalists in the Grand Final held in Paris, France.

This record makes former players and analysts, give the Red's a great opportunity to raise 'La Orejona' again. After the draw held a few days ago in Nyon, Switzerland, Liverpool were fortunate to discover that Real Madrid will once again be their opponents in Europe, and after facing each other a few months ago, it seems that revenge has come very soon for Jürgen Klopp's team, who qualified second in Group A.

Despite Liverpool's victory, Kloop is concerned that for this reason, he will have to make a decision
For Premier League legends and now English football commentators Peter Crouch and Rio Ferdinand, The Pool could win the next edition of the UCL, if they can get a good lead from the first leg against Madrid and show the "mettle of champions". They can definitely do it - have you seen their squad, plus they'll have players like Jota and Diaz back next year," they said.

For former Red's player Peter Crouch, the team can aspire to win the trophy, it has nothing to do with the fact that they finished second, because although they will not close at home, Klopp's boys know how to play away games, as they did in the Group Stage where they won two of three consecutive matches on foreign soil; Amsterdam (Ajax) and Glasgow (Rangers).

Ferdinand and Crouch confident for Liverpool
For former fierce rival Rio Ferdinand, Liverpool are a team that have shut him up, for on the television broadcast of Matchday 4 in Scotland, Ferdinand celebrated Scott Arfield's goal for the home side, but a rampant Liverpool turned the scoreline around, conceding seven goals to the Scottish champions. So in the Champions League, no one can underestimate Jürgen Klopp's side, who will have a few days to breathe before returning to the EFL Cup.
