Liverpool are going through a difficult time after losing 3-0 to Wolverhampton on Saturday in the 22nd round of the Premier League. It was another blow for the Reds and especially for the fans who have seen their team go from winning four trophies last season to being on the brink of elimination.

In the aftermath of the defeat a number of people have been blamed for Liverpool's plight. The underperformance of several players such as Cameroonian defender Joel Matip and young Spanish midfielder Thiago have been far from their best.

There is another sector that blames the German coach Jürgen Klopp because of the loyalty he has had to several players who have played poorly. Although there is also an important group of fans who recognise the work of the boss and ask for him to be supported and not sacked despite the team's negative results. In 2023 Liverpool have not won in the Premier League.

However, there are many who place full responsibility for the team's crisis on the owners because of the low investment they made in this winter transfer window where despite the team's need for a midfielder they decided to sign Dutch attacker Cody Gakpo. But the owners can evade responsibility and blame it on the large number of games this team has played in the last two years.
