Four days separate us from seeing our Liverpool back in Premier League action, as our first game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge is just around the corner, but the bad news is that Jürgen Klopp's squad seems to be far from complete, because in addition to the signings that the German tactician still wants, there are players who have not been able to train with the team.
It is no secret that Liverpool had in mind a very different transfer market than the one they are having, because when the summer started it was said that we would be one of the most active teams in the transfer market and we have been, but not in the way the fans expected, because so far the club has suffered a total of 20 departures -between loans, free agent departures and definitive sales- and only 2 arrivals.
On the other hand, only Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai have arrived to reinforce the team and although both are projected to become future stars of the team, Jürgen Klopp does not believe that it is enough to cover all the departures we have had. That is why the board is desperately looking to sign Romeo Lavia and also some defender before the end of the transfer window, but negotiations at this stage of the market are not usually easy.
However, that is not the only problem facing our Liverpool squad, because although Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic have rejoined the team's training sessions, there are still two players who have not been able to train with the rest of their teammates.
Conor Bradley and Nat Phillips are the two players who have not been able to be at Liverpool's training sessions. In Bradley's case it is due to injury, but it is hoped that when he recovers he will be able to fight for a first-team place which could help free up Trent Alexander-Arnold to play in midfield. However, in the case of Phillips it is due to the fact that the player may be on the verge of leaving the club as Leeds United have been rumored to be interested in him.
