Luis Diaz is going through a complicated moment in his sporting career due to a relapse in his injury. The Colombian would be out for at least three months and this unexpected situation for Liverpool would lead them to look for some options taking into account the commitments that lie ahead. According to the English press, one of the options that the directors are contemplating is to participate in the winter transfer window and add a new man to the squad while the Colombian national team player recovers,

The Colombian was injured on 9 October in the game against Arsenal. A collision with Thomas Partey forced him off the field of play, and it was later confirmed that he had suffered a ligament injury which required surgery and his recovery time was estimated to be more than three months. However, by the beginning of December, Luis Díaz was already showing great progress with regard to his state of health, and was even seen training with his teammates, so it was hoped that he could be available for the restart of the season.

Everything pointed to Diaz being ready for the game against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup, however, in the English club's training camp in Dubai, the player again felt a discomfort in his knee, so he was sent to the UK, where he underwent tests and a new injury was confirmed, so he had to undergo surgery again. The time off the former Junior de Barranquilla player would be at least three months, news that fell like a bucket of cold water for the club and for coach Jürgen Klopp, who regretted this situation.

In view of this situation, the club is already looking at a number of options so that the Colombian's absence does not hit the squad so hard. According to the portal Fichajes.net, the Reds are already contemplating a signing in the winter transfer window, taking into account the important commitments that are coming up after the restart of the season. Klopp's side have an obligation to improve their Premier League form, as well as progress beyond the last 16 of the Champions League against Real Madrid.
