Liverpool started the 2023/2024 Premier League with a 1-1 against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, in the most important match of the first round in the best league in the world. According to the Spanish journalist Mister Chip, Díaz is the fourth Colombian football player who scored the first goal in a Premier League’s season. The other known Colombian soccer players were the following: Faustino Asprilla with Newcastle United in the 1997/1998 season, Hugo Rodallega with Wigan Athletic in the 2009/2010 season, and Jefferson Lerma with Bournemouth in the 2022/2023 season. Born in Barrancas in 1997, the right-foot forward hopes to break more records with Liverpool’s jersey.
