Two days before the starting Premier League match, Liverpool continues the last details to face Chelsea on Sunday at Stamford Bridge. With 48 hours to prepare the lineup starter, Jürgen Klopp must define who will be the striker in the offensive line in the first official game of the upcoming season.
The last season, and since he arrived on Liverpool’s bench, the German coach always preferred the 4-3-3 system for every match. However, regarding the opponent, the kind of game, or the tournament’s instance that the English squad competes, the mentioned trainer could change his original idea and modify the tactic.
Besides, in the middle of the Caicedo’s negotiations between the Reds and Blues, Klopp probably can’t count on his main idea for the first game in the beginning. Furthermore, the window market will close on next 31st of August and all can happen in 20 days from now in Europe, especially with the Premier League, the tournament which moves more money than the other four powerful leagues.
In resume, there are two principal doubts in Klopp’s mind to reveal to Liverpool’s fans and followers around the world. On one hand, in the middle of the field, one place for two names: the Bulgarian midfielder Szobolszai and the 18 years old Serbian Bajcetic; and on the other hand, in the offensive line, the Dutch striker Cody Gakpo and the Uruguayan scorer Darwin Núñez fight for the center forward position.
In conclusion, to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Jürgen Klopp’s idea is the following: Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konaté, Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson; Alexis Mac Allister, Thiago Alcántara, Dominik Szobolszai or Stefan Bajcetic; Mohamed Salah, Gakpo or Núñez, and Luis Díaz. If it is confirmed, will be two debuts in the Reds’ professional team.
