Liverpool was already able to finalize its first signing for next season, however it has had to struggle to find its second reinforcement, since it has to compete with other clubs to sign the targets that Jürgen Klopp wants.
While the arrival of Alexis Mac Allister came without major complications, it seems that this will not be the case with the rest of the reinforcements, as the Reds' management will have to overcome other teams that are also interested in signing these players.
In recent days it was reported that RB Leipzig were interested in signing one of Liverpool's great jewels, one of the players most appreciated by Klopp: Fabio Carvalho. The German club would have great interest in buying him permanently, but Klopp would only be willing to loan him out on loan.
Now, Leipzig intends to stand in the way of one of Jürgen Klopp's main targets for this summer. We are talking about central defender Micky van de Ven, who has been one of Liverpool's main targets for this transfer window. Well now, it has been reported that Leipzig would also be interested in him and could stand in the way of a possible arrival at Anfield.
While Virgil van Dijk remains one of the best defenders in the world, last season proved that Liverpool need to find a replacement for him. In that sense, Jürgen Klopp would be convinced that Micky van de Ven would be the ideal replacement for van Dijk, and he has been on the German tactician's radar for months.
