The Senegalese left the Reds in the summer.

The Bundesliga has a new single most valuable player, England international and Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, while Jamal Musiala is Bayern Munich's most valuable professional. A total of 120 players receive a new market value in the mid-term update of the German league, among them Bayern's top signing Sadio Mané, German international Timo Werner on his return to RB Leipzig, or Hoffenheim's Spanish full-back Angeliño.

At just 19, Bellingham is already a commanding presence in the Dortmund midfield, and in England the question is no longer if he will move to the Premier League, but when and to which club. For the Birmingham City youth player, the valuation rises from 80 to 90 million euros, the highest value in the Bundesliga. With this jump, Bellingham leaves behind Joshua Kimmich and Christopher Nkunku, with whom he previously shared the top spot in the competition.

Musiala is another winner of the update. The Stuttgart-born youngster spent eight years in Chelsea's youth ranks before joining Bayern Munich for €200,000 in 2019. His breakthrough into the first team and his debut for the German national team soon followed. As a result, the promising youngster is now the Bundesliga champions' most valuable player alongside Kimmich.

"Thanks to his impressive dribbling skills and vision, Julian Nagelsmann increasingly trusts the 19-year-old and prefers him to the more established players," says Bundesliga market value administrator Julius Weissenstein, explaining some of the reasons for the increase from 65 million euros to 80 million euros.

Mané has suffered a major devaluation

Musiala thus also surpasses Mané, who drops from 70 to 60 million euros following his transfer from Liverpool to the Säbener Straße outfit for 32 million euros. "Mané has not yet been able to live up to the high expectations placed on his signing, although his performance this season has not influenced this assessment," says Hillmann. "His age is also not important for the first valuation as a Bundesliga player, but rather the transfer price. The difference between his previous market value and the amount paid for him was too significant, even though he only has one year left on his contract.
