Thiago Alcántara is back with the Red's. This latest round of Premier League fixtures saw the Spaniard's first start following his hamstring injury suffered on Matchday 1 against Fulham FC. Thiago played 88 minutes in the pulsating three-goal draw with Brighton Hove Albion. He was the player who won the most duels in the match, as well as the one who received the most fouls.
This outstanding performance earned the midfielder not only the support of the fans, but also of his wife, activist and influencer Julia Vigas, who dedicated some affectionate words to him after the game. For the Barcelona native, Thiago is a player who is a team player and tries to combine the talents of all his teammates into something positive for everyone. Julia and Thiago have been married since 2015.
Luis Diaz's desperation ahead of Brighton game
Liverpool will have a hotly-contested bid with this European giant for a signing
"I love watching him play. That's one of my favourite things to do, and if I'm surprised by what he does, of course I am. I love going to the stadium, watching him enjoy his football. When he is playing, I sit there with a smile on my face and watch him. I always applaud him and make him feel like I'm with him," said the Marketing and Communication graduate from the University of Barcelona.
But not only she enjoys the great human being and footballer that Thiago is, but also his whole family, mainly the two children in the marriage; Gabriel and Siena. "Gabi and Siena love it here in England, they are very happy. They love going to Anfield because of the atmosphere, it's just amazing. They also love watching him play and they love singing his songs. It's great fun to listen to them sing. They love watching all his games.
Thiago and his wife, Julia Vigas, met when the Brazilian was playing for FC Barcelona in 2013, and after a period of dating, they decided to take the next step by getting engaged when he was already at Bayern Munich, making Vigas join him in this adventure. They now live as a family with their children in Liverpool, where their little ones are already loyal fans of the Reds.
