The Saudi Pro League continues its irruption in the European transfer market, as they have now wanted to take our Liverpool legend, Mohamed Salah. According to various reports in the international press, Al-Ittihad, the same club that has just signed Fabinho, Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kanté, have reportedly offered a huge contract to the Egyptian winger to convince him to sign for them for the next two years, but it seems that Salah is clear that he intends to stay at Anfield this summer.
It is no secret that the Saudi Pro League can offer exorbitant salaries, which, as we have seen this summer, usually convince players to agree to move to the Middle East. However, no one can deny that the level of football in the Saudi Pro League is not nearly one of the best in the world, so there are still players who put the sporting aspect before the economic one and that seems to be the case of Pharaoh.
And according to Mo Salah's own agent, our legend is still fully committed and focused on staying at Anfield, as he is the axis on which the current Liverpool project is developed. Salah, at 31 years of age, is still the best player our team has and one of the best in the Premier League and the world, so in addition to Salah rejecting Al-Ittihad's offer, it is also likely that Liverpool would have refused to sell him.
According to various reports, Al-Ittihad offered Mohamed Salah a net salary of €180 million for two seasons, or €90 million per year. "If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn't have renewed the contract last summer. Mohamed remains committed to LFC," he said.
