The list to replace Mané, FSG would finally spend money now that the damage is done

Sadio Mané was a key player for Liverpool since joining the club in 2016, but with his recent release to Bayern Munich, the Reds will have to look at other options to fill his void. Here are three players that could replace Mane at Liverpool:  one Chelsea target, a new youngster from Borussia Dortmund and even a Real Madrid player.

Nkunku is a versatile striker that can also play out wide, the 24-year-old would provide competition for places in Liverpool's front three and could be a long-term replacement for Mané if he were to make the move to Anfield. Another player with experience playing in one of Europe's top leagues, Asensio currently plies his trade for Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The 26-year-old is a left-footed attacker that can operate on either wing or through the middle and has already shown glimpses of his potential at the Bernabeu. With Liverpool reportedly interested in signing him this summer, Asensio could be an ideal replacement for Mane should he depart Merseyside.

Since he arrived at Bayern Munich last summer, Sadio Mané has been one of the most inconsistent players in the Bundesliga. Although the Senegalese winger has been a key player for Bayern, is yet to be seen in his goal-scoring and assists statistics. With the German side in 18 games he has only scored nine goals and provided just one assist.
