Liverpool's midfield is performing well this season as the Reds lead the Premier League, and both Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai have been instrumental in the team's success. Szoboszlai has been a self-sacrificing midfielder, helping out in all areas of the pitch while Mac Allister has been the brains of the team.
Despite this and having players on the bench such as youngsters Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott or newcomers Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch. Liverpool are already looking for their latest reinforcement for this sector of the pitch. The Reds are reportedly looking for French midfielder Khepren Thuram, who had already been a target of the Reds in the last transfer window.
Last summer's negotiations for Thuram did not go ahead as the Reds focused on trying to sign Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, both of whom ended up joining Chelsea. So now, according to information from @PavanMassimo, the Reds are willing to pay €45 million. So they are the favourites to sign him.
Thuram is 22 years old and has a contract with Nice in France until 2025 and according to Transfermarkt he is worth €40 million. This season Khepren has served to polish many of his virtues and has helped his team stay at the top of Ligue 1, being second with 32 points and 4 points behind the leader PSG who have 36 points.
According to information from @LFCTransferRoom, Nice would be more interested in selling the player in the summer, since the team is playing very well and Thuram is a fundamental part of the functioning of the team led by Francesco Farioli. This being the main factor that could slow down the negotiations.
