Undoubtedly one of the best players we currently have in our Liverpool squad is Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has just been named by Jürgen Klopp as the new vice captain of the team. Trent has been one of the great gems to emerge from Liverpool's academy in recent years, and despite being only 24 years old, he has already won it all with the club.

Last season, Jürgen Klopp decided to put TAA as a midfielder during the last Premier League games and Alexander-Arnold showed a great level playing in that position, so much so that he was the leader in assists and chances created in the whole English league during the time he played as a midfielder and not as a right back.

Trent's performance was outstanding playing as a midfielder and Klopp's idea was taken up by England national team coach Gareth Southgate, who used TAA in that same position during the Euro 2024 qualifiers, in which our new vice captain was one of the best players.

Now, during the preseason and with the departures of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, Jürgen Klopp has tried to find who can play as number six and Trent Alexander-Arnold has been chosen to play in that position for two of the three preseason games so everything points to the fact that he will not play many games as right back and now Klopp already has in mind the player who will occupy the place that has belonged to Alexander-Arnold for several years.

Liverpool's new right-back

According to The Athletic's Caoimhe O'Neill, 20-year-old Conor Bradley should get plenty of game time next season, particularly in cup games and when Trent Alexander-Arnold plays as a midfielder.
