Gakpo recently gave an interview to Liverpool's official website where he revealed what his first month on Merseyside has been like. "Yes, it's definitely a new environment on the pitch, with new players and a new club, I'm adapting to everything," said the 23-year-old who also accepted that there are minor distinctions between what people do here in England, and obviously in the Netherlands where he is from.

Cody also accepted that he has enjoyed little of the city, spending most of his time at The Pool's training hotel. "Outside of the camp, I have to admit that I haven't visited the city too often. I've spent most of my time at the hotel. I'm actually moving in this week. That's something else I'm really anticipating," noted the Oranje star.

Gakpo's adaptation is lacking

Gakpo is starting to take the pressure of the fans hoping to get his first goal this weekend against Brighton, as before players such as Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Roberto Firmino return from injury, the Dutchman still has time to cement his place in Klopp's starting XI, who so far is hoping that the signing of Cody will not be a fiasco like Uruguay's Darwin Nunez has been.
