Liverpool's board has done a great job in the current transfer market, as it has managed to sign two of Jürgen Klopp's main objectives for the next season, in which the team aims to reverse the failure of the last campaign in which we could not qualify for the next edition of the Champions League.
In that sense, both Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, the Reds' two reinforcements, will arrive with a huge responsibility on their shoulders, as everything indicates that Jürgen Klopp's plan is for both to acquire a leading role from the very first moment, as they are players with great potential and capable of contributing immediately and having a positive impact on the club.
Particularly, Jürgen Klopp would be very excited with the arrival of Dominik Szoboszlai, as the 22-year-old Hungarian midfielder is one of the most promising players in world football, which is why Klopp did not hesitate to pay the 70 million euros of his termination clause to bring him to Anfield, as the German tactician would consider that Szoboszlai has the qualities to be a great star of the team in the coming years.
However, Szoboszlai's arrival at Anfield could have thwarted Klopp's plans regarding another big target for this summer transfer window, as the Hungarian midfielder's characteristics could scrap the possibility of signing one of the players most strongly linked with the team in recent weeks.
According to information from The Athletic's David Ornstein, Khéphren Thuram is no longer a target for Liverpool, as the board has decided on Dominik Szoboszlai. In that sense, it seems that the priority will be to sign Romeo Lavia, who has more defensive qualities.
