FIFA determined a jury made up of four groups of voters, all of whom carry the same electoral weight, "regardless of the number of voters in each group". The different groups are made up of the captains of the teams, the coaches of the teams, members of the media convened by FIFA and fans who are duly registered on FIFA.com.
Among the nominees is Jude Bellingham, a midfield sensation from Borussia Dortmund. Liverpool are very interested in signing him and are still trying to unlock a deal that would cost them more than 100 million. At Anfield they are hopeful they can reach an agreement and keep one of the most promising players.
And before he arrives at Liverpool, Bellingham will have his first clash with the Reds' top player. For Egyptian king Mohamen Salah is also among those looking to win the trophy. Not yet at Anfield, Bellingham is already facing Salah.
