England's national team coach sidelined him for the match against Germany.

England manager Gareth Southgate has cast doubt over Trent Alexander-Arnold's Qatar 2022 World Cup hopes after leaving the Liverpool defender out of Monday night's UEFA Nations League clash with Germany, but that does not mean he will not end up on the Teutonic ship when the final squad is announced for the trip in November.

The Liverpool right-back is just one of five players left out of the squad for the game, as European competition rules dictate that the England manager must reduce his squad from 28 to 23 on the day, with Jarrod Bowen, Fikayo Tomori, James Ward-Prowse and the suspended Jack Grealish also on the list, with the absence of Arnold, who has been a consistent performer at Anfield and with his national team, a surprise.

Not Bellingham, but Liverpool will be in dispute with Chelsea over this player

According to the words of Gareth Southgate, his national team has a large and competitive squad that gives him the possibility of having at least in the side a myriad of options, highlighting the great footballing moment for which is Trippier and Reece James, two of the most outstanding players in the league, and although today there is a fuss about the departure of Arnold, the British tactician tried to calm things down by pointing out that the Liverpool player is very good, which is why he has been present in the calls with the group of the three lions.

At 23 years of age, the English player has become a total reference for Liverpool in recent years, so much so that since 2019 to date the Reds defence has seen his consistency by averaging more than 40 games in all competitions, being even in this bad start of the campaign for the Reds one of the players who has shown more consistency in 9 games he has been able to play, earning the applause of former players who see in Trent that aggressive defender that England will need so much against their most complicated rivals in Qatar.

High competition prompted Southgate to leave out TAA

Given the statements and actions of the England manager, social networks quickly issued their response through their users, some branding as bad that decision to leave out the Liverpool defender in that call against Germany, while others have simply sympathized with the player arguing that his national team coach does not know how to make decisions, because it can not be possible that with Jurgen Klopp things go perfectly and dressed in white in selection this changes.
