On Tuesday afternoon, Jürgen Klopp's troops finished their first session of the winter camp and started their warm-weather midseason training regimen in preparation for the Dubai Super Cup, For the trip, Liverpool picked a 33-man team despite the current break in domestic play caused by the ongoing World Cup.
Prior to the start of the Premier League at Aston Villa on Boxing Day, the Reds will make their return to competitive action on December 22 when they take on Manchester City in the Carabao Cup, Robertson spoke exclusively to Liverpoolfc.com about a variety of topics, including the team's recent hiatus from competition, the platform the camp can offer, and much more.
How much did the recent break help you, Andy? You're back on the grass now. A little downtime, yes. We took a short break and a mini-vacation. I simply attempted to unwind before attempting to keep myself going. It was wonderful to spend time with the family and the children. Family vacations are often hard to come by, but I was able to spend a nice few days with them
They were delighted. Daddy was a hit with them. Yes, that was enjoyable. You begin to get a tingling sensation in your feet, desire to play again on the grass, and miss the guys and all of the staff, You have been playing the game for a time, how odd was it for you to end the season early? obviously, things have changed.
In the past few of years, we've taken a vacation in February, but when we return, there may still be 10 or 12 Premier League games still to play. It has been challenging. It's critical that we maintain the momentum we had before the break because we were starting to put in strong performances and make significant progress.
