It seems that Al-Ittihad will not stop until Mohamed Salah becomes their new team player or until the Saudi Pro League transfer window has closed, whichever comes first, as journalist Simon Jones has reported that the Saudi club will in the coming hours offer a £200 million deal to the Liverpool board in an attempt to convince them to sell Salah.
Although for now it seems that the stance of the Anfield board remains the same of not selling Salah, it seems that Al-Ittihad will not give up on trying to sign the Reds superstar who according to his own teammates at Liverpool is totally focused on the club and has no desire to leave this season.
Al-Ittihad's late insistence on signing Mo Salah has started to irritate many fans who are fed up with hearing every day of an improved offer that the Saudi club would make for the Pharaoh when Jürgen Klopp has made it clear that Salah is totally untouchable. But they are not the only ones upset, as Premier League legend Ian Wright has expressed that such late attempts by Al-Ittihad to sign Salah border on the disrespectful.
Former England striker Ian Wright said that trying to sign a player of Mohamed Salah's level at this stage of the transfer window is disrespectful to the player himself. "For me, I don't even know if that's the guys... The Saudis they're flexing, to come in that late," said Wright. “To come in for a player of that caliber, of that level, you're not going to let him go at that stage of the window but it's almost disrespectful to him.”
