Liverpool continue to be active in the transfer market and many expect there to be even more additions before the end of the transfer window. One of the big names that have been mentioned in recent days to reinforce the team is Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen is one of the most sought-after strikers in the world at the moment, as he had a fantastic season in Italian football where he scored 30 goals in all competitions, which has aroused the interest of big teams around the world. However, in the last few days it has been reported that Liverpool's board of directors have scheduled a meeting with the player's entourage to discuss a possible transfer to Anfield.
Osimhen is currently valued at 120 million euros, according to the Tranfsermarkt portal. But information circulating in the Italian press claims that Napoli could ask up to 180 million for the 24-year-old Nigerian striker, an amount that could be unaffordable for the Anfield board at the moment.
Despite this, the interest in Osimhen remains latent for Liverpool, especially taking into account the lousy season that Darwin Nunez had, for whom 80 million euros were paid a year ago and did not perform as expected. That is why Klopp is considering alternatives to acquire Osimhen this summer and the key could be within Liverpool's squad.
In recent hours it has been reported that Napoli would be very interested in signing Ibrahima Konaté, Liverpool's central defender, following the departure of Kim Min Jae to FC Bayern. Thus, Liverpool could propose an exchange of players, in which Konaté and a sum of money would go to Napoli, while Victor Osimhen would join Liverpool.
