After six years at Liverpool, where he was a star player and won every trophy possible, Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain left Anfield this summer after it was agreed by mutual consent that he would leave as a free agent so that the 29-year-old could sign for any team he wanted without the Anfield board intervening.
Undoubtedly, Alex was one of the most important players during Liverpool's last golden era. He came to the team from Arsenal in 2017 in exchange for 38 million euros, a transfer that was questioned by many as Ox came from suffering major injuries, but Jürgen Klopp always trusted him and knew what he was capable of achieving with effort and dedication, which the player showed by changing position as he went from being a winger to a central midfielder, where he saw the best years of his career.
Now, as a free agent, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has struggled a bit to find a new team, however it has been reported that it has not been for lack of offers but because the player is taking his time to decide, although it seems that he has already decided to sign for Besiktas of the Turkish league, as the former Reds player has traveled to Turkey to continue negotiations with the club, which seem to be in their final stage.
According to various media reports, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could become Besiktas' second-highest paid player, behind only Dele Ali, who earns £5.2 million a year. In addition, it has been reported that he would sign a 3-year contract.
