A few years ago, before Liverpool managed to re-emerge as the team that dominated the world during the club's most recent golden era, Anfield witnessed great players who passed through our club and thrilled everyone with their great talent and enormous potential that could have led them to become great legends of the Reds.
Before Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mané and Divock Origi, Anfield was thrilled with the explosive attack that Luis Suárez, Raheem Sterling, Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho deployed at Liverpool, in what promised to be one of the new dynasties of European football, as they were young players who already proved to be among the best in the world, which obviously aroused the interest of other teams.
If there is one thing Anfield fans love, it is loyalty, but unfortunately it is a quality that is hard to find in modern football, yet Liverpool have been fortunate to find players like Steven Gerrard who have always declared their immense love for the club. But not everyone can be like the legendary captain and that great attack we once had was gradually dismantled with the departures of Suarez and Sterling, but Coutinho stayed and proved he had the ability to be one of the best players in the world.
But the Brazilian player had no patience and when we needed him most he decided to leave to play for FC Barcelona, believing that there he would conquer the titles he could not achieve at Anfield. Just when his value was at its highest, as Transfermarkt valued him at 150 million euros at the time, Liverpool fulfilled his wish and let him leave. Coutinho's regret came early, as we won the Champions League the very same season he left.
After arriving at Barcelona, Coutinho suffered a series of injuries and was never able to establish himself in Spain. He went to FC Bayern and exactly the same thing happened. Now he is a player of Aston Villa and his value has fallen to 15 million euros, however it has transpired that his current club is looking to sell him, but the problem is that it seems that no other team wants him.
