In Liverpool's recent history we have been fortunate to have had great players who have become true legends at Anfield and who have also established themselves as some of the best players in the world, such is the case of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mané. However, before them there was a player who came through our club and we all believed he could become the next big thing in world football.
We're talking about Philippe Coutinho, the Brazilian winger who made everyone fall in love at Anfield thanks to his spectacular performances. Coutinho had the potential to become not only a Liverpool idol but also many thought he could be the player capable of competing with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi for the title of the best player in the world. His level became so high that he was valued at $150 million during what was his best moment with Liverpool.
However, Coutinho did not know how to be patient and was not able to see the fruits of a winning project as was and has been that of Jürgen Klopp with Liverpool, and in 2018 he decided to leave the club to join FC Barcelona. However, regret came early for the Brazilian footballer, because in addition to the fact that he never managed to consolidate himself at Barcelona due to injuries, our Liverpool came out Champions League champions the same season in which he left.
From then on, the most recent golden era in Liverpool's history began, of which Coutinho could have been a part, but he did not trust the project. For his part, the Brazilian was never able to recover the level he once showed at Anfield and went through several teams before arriving at Aston Villa, the team he currently belongs to, but according to various reports no longer wants him in their squad.
According to several sources, Philippe Coutinho is no longer welcome at Aston Villa and the club is looking for a new team for him. So far there is no concrete interest from any club in particular, but there has been speculation about a possible transfer to the Saudi Arabian league or the Turkish league. Currently, his market value is around 10 million euros.
