Rumors have emerged in recent hours that two teams are interested in making a late move to sign Joe Gomez, with the 26-year-old defender unhappy at the realization that he is Jürgen Klopp's fourth choice in Liverpool's defense, and Times Sport have reported that Gomez is not closed to a possible exit from the club.
However, it seems that the Anfield board are unwilling to allow another first-team player to leave the club this summer, believing that the departures they have had are already enough, and that the team are still looking to fill those gaps to allow the sale of another player.
That is why, despite rumors of Al-Ittihad and West Ham's alleged interest in signing Joe Gomez, the Anfield board will not be willing to let him leave, but there is another player who could leave the club, as he does not fit into Jürgen Klopp's plans and could free up space for the possible arrival of another defender in the coming days.
We are talking about Nat Phillips, who for weeks has been reported to be on the radar of several teams in the Championship, but now The Athletic reports that he is very close to becoming a new player for Middlesbrough, a club to which he would arrive on loan.
