As part of a deeper look into the investigations into all the refereeing errors Liverpool suffered throughout their defeat to Tottenham, former Reds legend and footballer Jamie Carragher gave his take on a truly hard to believe situation where Curtis Jones' dismissal and Luis Diaz's disallowed goal were the most controversial plays of the weekend's Premier League action.

The former footballer and now television analyst showed that Video Refereeing in England is in a severe crisis point, with both the VAR and the referees on the pitch not being able to communicate effectively when it comes to making a sudden decision, starting with the sending off of Curtis Jones who was misjudged for an unfortunate but never unsporting tackle.

Just as Carragher has questioned and exposed the reliability of refereeing in the Premier League at the moment, Liverpool's team have tried to move forward with some form of investigation to bring about a resolution to the issue and not just a public apology from PGMOL as happened moments after the unfortunate events at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Reds' main intention at the moment is to seek at all costs access to the VAR audios at the time when the actions of both Jones and Diaz were judged, with Klopp and his group clearly intending to make the PGMOL and the top brass of English football see that these types of acts judged lightly must be eradicated and punished by the masterminds of the decisions.

Reds fear further injustice

For some time now the Reds have been highlighting the endless refereeing errors that have been committed against them in a large number of matches this season, this time being just a little different as the affectations continue, but the evidence has finally escalated to a point where the team can attempt to call for a dignified punishment that will eradicate this type of injustice against them on an ongoing basis.
