Neither Salah nor Klopp, he misses Sadio Mane the most

With a season of poor results and only the hopes of a ticket to the next edition of the Champions League as a consolation prize, the Liverpool team and its players are already analysing what were the mistakes that made this team unstoppable a year ago, in a vulnerable group that was losing the quality of play that led them to be the protagonists of all of Europe.

For many, the Reds' first big mistake this season was to have sold Senegalese Sadio Mané to Bayern Munich, causing his absence to be resented by many of his teammates who trusted the African to be, alongside Mohamed Salah, the great attacking threat that could solve any kind of match.

Although it was Mo' who proved in some games to need the goalscoring touch of his former team-mate, it has recently been revealed that it was Andrew Robertson who greatly resented Mané's departure in the summer of last year, recounting in his own words that no one was as sad as he was during his departure as he knew he had lost his left wing-back partner. "When he left, there was probably no one sadder than me, because of the relationship we had on the left wing."

Although Robertson has been a regular in Jürgen Klopp's line-up throughout this campaign, his understanding with his team-mates has been less than in previous years, with the Briton emphasising this in his comments on Mané's departure, saying that the mutual support was what he loved most about sharing the pitch with the Senegalese. "I loved playing with him. We had a great understanding, he would help me go backwards and I would help him go forwards.
