Anfield legend's praise could sway Jude Bellingham

Among the sea of names that are now being considered as possible candidates for a place in Liverpool's midfield, the one that stands out the most for its quality and also for its high cost is that of British youth player Jude Bellingham, a 19-year-old player who has astounded half of Europe with his appearances for Borussia Dortmund over the last three years.

Just as there is a long list on Merseyside of possible midfielders who could be reinforcements, the Dortmund player also has his own list of teams who want him for next summer, with the names of Real Madrid and Liverpool standing out, a team with which he has been closely linked due to various comments made by former footballers who see in the Briton football that would undoubtedly explode completely under the command of coach Jürgen Klopp.

The advantage that Anfield may have over their competition is in the close relationship that Jordan Henderson has with the youngster as they are both part of the England squad, not to mention the indirect help from one of the legends of the institution such as Steven Gerrard, who in an interview did not tire of praising the Bundesliga star, something that has Bellingham too happy after hearing the words of the Aston Villa coach.

The fact that one of the most iconic midfielders not only at Anfield but across Europe is praising one of the most promising gems in British football may be the little push Jude needs to make a move to Liverpool, and he could try to not only match but surpass Gerrard's achievements in his 17 seasons in red for the Merseyside outfit.

For the moment, Jude Bellingham continues to accumulate experience with Borussia Dortmund, who are runners-up both in the Bundesliga and in their Champions League group, having been called up to the England squad for their respective UEFA Nations League matches, having failed in the first of those matches after losing narrowly to Italy.  The German team expects an excellent participation in the World Cup from their midfielder in order to get even more out of a player worth around 130 million pounds sterling.
