Mohamed Salah's Europa League record against LASK

With 10 goals and five assists so far this season for Liverpool, Mohamed Salah has made a great return to the spectacular football that made him one of the best in Europe for so many years, and with these current figures he has the chance to continue writing history as a Reds legend if he can put in a great performance against LASK Linz on Thursday in the final round of UEFA Europa League action.

With a total of 198 goals in all competitions for Liverpool, Mohamed Salah has been the team's third-highest scorer of all time for some months now, but the Egyptian could leapfrog the 200-goal mark if he can score a brace against the Austrian Bundesliga club.

Although it is true that at the moment no one can hold the historical record that Mo' has today, he would be the third in history to reach a couple of hundred goals for the institution, with Roger Hunt currently having 261 goals to Ian Rush's 363, who has been the top scorer for a long time now.

What makes Salah's new club record interesting is that the Pharaoh has almost reached the 200-goal mark in just 323 games, with a margin of at least 122 games to go before he can overtake Roger Hunt who has 261 goals in 446 games.

As well as achieving a personal goal that brings him ever closer to the top as a club legend and idol, Mo's sights are set on helping the team to the best possible result against LASK Linz, with the clash at Anfield being the one that will totally define the Reds' future in the Europa League, with the Reds currently sitting top with just a two-point lead over Toulouse, who are also looking to take top spot against Union Saint-Gilloise.
