Almost every Liverpool weekend is all about must-win victories and new records that Mohamed Salah is about to set, and it was no different this weekend when the Reds easily beat Bournemouth 3-1, with the Egyptian striker surpassing Steven Gerrard, one of the club's last remaining legends, in goals.
Salah's goal from the penalty spot helped his team to a victory that was complicated at times by the sending off of Alexis Mac Allister, with Mo' contributing to his team without neglecting all those records and marks that haunt him behind him, surpassing Gerrard's 186 goals to set a new record at 187.
It comes as no surprise to the now Al-Ettifaq manager to see the Reds' Egyptian star easily smash many of the records set by former club stars, himself one of the club's most vocal supporters of Salah's streaks in recent years, going so far as to declare that he would like to see Mo' continue to embarrass his records, with this occurring almost three years to the day since Steven's words.
After obtaining a new record that positions him as the best in the history of the club, Salah is now only thinking about obtaining other victories with the team and to continue scoring more goals that allow him to continue engraving his name in the record books of the Premier League and all of Europe, being at the moment with his sights set on surpassing Roben Van Persie in goals scored in the English league who has a record of 144 goals, Salah getting with this Saturday afternoon's goal to reach 140.
