Mo Salah clings on to his historic Premier League record

Mohamed Salah wants to remain at the top of the Premier League and add his name to Liverpool's history, as the striker looks to repeat his record in the 2017-2018 season, when he was on fire in front of goal and scored 32 times during the 38 games of the season. Sadly that year the 'Citizens' would go on to win the English League.

For this 2022-2023 season Mo Salah has been on the scoresheet twice. First on Matchday 1 against Fulham, which meant a two-goal draw, before him, Darwin Núñez would score in the game. Two Matchdays later, the Egyptian captain would score in the English derby against Manchester United, in what was an "honour goal" for the Reds.

In addition, the African runner-up and Egypt international scored in the Community Shield where Liverpool beat Manchester City 3-1. His goal came from the penalty spot in the closing stages of the match, which meant Liverpool's first title of the season. On that glorious afternoon, he was joined on the scoresheet by Alexander-Arnold and Darwin Nunez.
