The Colombian striker is living up to expectations

Luis Diaz is proving that he is a match for any player and that he is not intimidated by playing against world football stars. The Reds striker is brave and in the team's poor form, he is shouldering the responsibility of scoring goals and making an impact in the attack in German coach Jürgen Klopp's strategy.

At 25 years of age, the South American is set to replace Senegalese striker Sadio Mané, who was sold in the summer to Bayern Munich for 33 million euros, a move that continues to sting fans because Mohamed Salah's performances have dropped significantly. Liverpool are going through a difficult time and Luis Diaz accepts the challenge of being their best player on the pitch.

According to statistics compiled by the Premier League, Luis Díaz is the fourth player in the entire competition with the highest impact score, which is a measure that evaluates the performance of players when they have the ball at their feet. The Colombian continues to excel not only in goals, but also in generating attacking play.

Luis Diaz, better than Cristiano Ronaldo and Salah

These figures have him below only the likes of Belgium's Kevin De Bruyne and Manchester City's Joao Cancelo of Portugal, as well as Liverpool team-mate Tren Alexander Arnold. But the South American is above stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo and team-mate Mohamed Salah who is having a difficult season.
