The Colombian has become one of the stars of the Reds

Colombian player Luis Fernando Díaz continues to shine in the Liverpool shirt, despite the fact that the team's collective performance at the start of the 2022/2023 season has not been good, with an inconsistent start to the Premier League and a poor start to the group stage in the UEFA Champions League.

Individually, Diaz has started all eight games the Reds have played in the second half of the season, six of which have been in the Premier League. The Colombian has played 528 minutes and scored three goals in the English league.

Luis Díaz is one of the best in the Premier League and this statistic proves it

Precisely one of the goals scored by the Colombian was nominated by one of the sponsors of the Premier League to be chosen as the best of August. It was the goal he scored on 15 August in Liverpool's hard-fought 1-1 draw at home to Crystal Palace.

Diaz scored in the 61st minute after receiving the ball on the left flank. He immediately set off on a ride towards the centre of the pitch and after leaving at least five opponents in his path, he struck with a powerful shot from halfway down the middle of the pitch. Luis Diaz's strike rivals those of Kalidou Koulibaly, Gabriel Jesus, Bryan Mbeumo, Allan Saint-Maximin, William Saliba, Fabian Schar and Kieran Trippier.

The winner of the Premier League Goal of the Month for August will be announced on Monday 12 September. At the moment Diaz knows that his club is not going through a good moment at all, understanding that the best thing for his teammates and for him will be to concentrate on the upcoming commitments that they will have in the different competitions in which they are in, being their nearest rival Wolves on matchday 7 of the Premier League, while in the Champions League it will be Ajax.
