The Reds are very active during the World Cup thinking about reinforcing their squad

Chelsea are the European giants who could see the most changes in the composition of their squad in 2023 as they have several players who finish their contracts with the club on 30 June, with N'Golo Kanté and Jorginho being the two most worrying potential departures, and there is also another large list of names who are looking for a new professional adventure, such as Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic.

However, referring back to both midfielders, the departure of Kanté and Jorginho seems to be a foregone conclusion as neither the club nor the players themselves seem to have any intention of staying on. However, this opens up a pressing need to find top class replacements to cover their departure and this is where Florentino Pérez and Jürgen Klopp see their future plans disrupted.

Klopp's fault, Liverpool could miss out on Bellingham's signature

As reported by 90Min, Chelsea are planning to invest 231 million in the 2023 summer transfer window to sign Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham, two of the most sought-after players on the market. Liverpool are beginning to realise that they will not be able to meet Borussia Dortmund's asking price for Jude Bellingham and this has meant that they have had to look for a guaranteed alternative to improve their midfield. One of the players that Jurgen Klopp has always liked is Declan Rice, currently playing for West Ham United, has become the first option to strengthen the Anfield team.

Borussia Dortmund's English midfielder was already a big talking point during the previous season and now, having established himself as a standard bearer in the plans of his national team, he is at the top of Chelsea's list of million-dollar priorities. But beware, Bellingham has also been on Florentino's radar for several months given that, as with Jorginho and Kanté, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric have yet to renew their contracts with the club and, to be honest, the worst is yet to come for the German.

Chelsea's ambitious statement of intent could therefore leave Real Madrid without a Galactico next season, with Jude the man they are considering investing the most in. Looking to Anfield, Klopp also has cause for concern as, while the German manager is keen to bring in Declan Rice next summer to strengthen the creative line, Chelsea seem determined to thwart the manager's desire.
