Having successfully completed their tenth week in the Premier League with a 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, who are under the coaching guidance of Jürgen Kloppp, are now preparing for their next game, although this time the competition will be the EFL Cup and their opponents will be Bournemouth.

A few weeks ago the Reds had their first big step in this local competition after defeating Leicester City in the third round by a score of 3-1, going directly to the round of 16 where Bournemouth will seek to beat a Liverpool team that already knows what it is to beat the Cherries in this football year, being the last score between these two clubs a 3-1.

If Klopp and his boys can get a win this coming Wednesday at the Vitality Stadium, Liverpool would be in the quarter-final round to be played on 18 and 19 December, being these dates very complicated for the Reds because in PL they will have during those days the visits of Manchester United and Arsenal.

Although it is not known what Liverpool's possible line-up for the game might be, the statistics of each club point to the Merseyside side as the favourites to win the away game without too many complications, even though the last two away games the Reds have had culminated in a defeat against Tottenham and a draw against Brighton.

This match will be played on Wednesday 1 November at 20:45hrs, with the Reds likely to field a full complement of substitutes as Klopp will be rotating a squad that has had a lot of games throughout October, as the German striker seeks not to neglect his side's progress to the next round of the EFL Cup but also does not want to wear down those who face Luton in the Premier League on Sunday.

Difficult game for Klopp and his players

As much as Bournemouth have little and nothing to lose in this midweek game, the Reds do have a duty to get the win either way, as Klopp and Liverpool's big names cannot afford an early defeat in the competition that could leave them looking as foolish as Manchester City did in the third round, losing 1-0 to Newcastle.
