Liverpool is being linked with a move once again for a Brazilian defender, while a Bayern Munich star could leave as the Reds circle.

Liverpool is once again back in action in midweek, with the Reds set to face West Ham for a place in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup. This is a competition Liverpool last won just under two years ago, and after a trophyless season in 2022/23, Jürgen Klopp would no doubt like to lift several this season, starting with the League Cup.

Considering Liverpool's recent form, the 0-0 draw at home to Manchester United on Sunday would've been viewed as a disappointment for the club, yet Liverpool remains only a point behind Premier League leaders Arsenal at the top of the table. With the two sides set to meet on Saturday, a win would see Liverpool go top heading into Christmas.

With the winter transfer window a mere 11 days from opening, the transfer rumors will begin to ramp up and kick into high gear. The Reds will be linked to a whole host of players in the weeks ahead. Some of those links will be tenuous to say the least, while others will have some validity or credence to them. Here in this website have a verdict on the transfer gossip to emerge around the Reds today.

Lucas Beraldo has been earning rave reviews in Brazil, and the 20-year-old has been linked with a move to Liverpool in the past. With Virgil van Dijk and Joël Matip not getting any younger and Ibrahima Konaté somewhat susceptible to injury, Jürgen Klopp will eventually need to look to the future. Beraldo is, according to Italian source TuttoJuve, being linked with Liverpool once again in light of Matip's ACL rupture. Juventus and Arsenal are also interested in signing the defender, states TuttoJuve, but considering Juve's financial problems, Liverpool would have the upper hand.

Kimmich's possibility

Joshua Kimmich has long been considered one of the best in the world, capable of playing in various different positions, either in midfield or in defense. The 28-year-old has been one of Bayern Munich's best players for years, but German source Bild suggests that Bayern could be open to selling the player this summer, with his contract expiring in the summer of 2025. Should Kimmich not sign an extension, it would mean that Bayern would need to move the player on next summer, and Liverpool is one of the clubs mentioned as potentially making a move. Liverpool and Bayern have a good relationship, with Thiago Alcântara making the switch from Bavaria to Merseyside in the summer of 2020.
